George K. Iakovidis stated his cinematic career in one of the Largest Greek film companies ( Damaskinos –Mihaelides SA ) to advance to being one of the well known Production Managers in Greece. He is one of the five PMs authorized by the Ministry of Industry to provide film production services to both domestic as well as foreign producers and definitely the most dedicated to his profession.

He has been involved in Greek and international movie, theater and TV productions as Production Manager–Executive Producer for over thirty five years, amounting to more than 37Greek feature films and in many Foreign feature films, some of them are:

As Production Manager for the Greek TV, he has been involved in the production of more than 400 episodes, as well as the Foreign TV some of them are:

Between 1971 and 1983 he was Production Manager in 12 Documentaries made by Hicks and Greist New York, USA for G.N.T.O. He has received the following Awards: 1978 CLIO Award for Best Commercial for G.N.T.O, 1983 Bronze Award for Best Commercial for G.N.T.O, and produced to this date more than 400 commercials for the Greek TV and Foreign TV.

Between 1981 and 1987 he was Technical Advisor (Production Manager) to the GREEK FILM CENTER (Ministry of Culture) and from 1995-1996 he was Film Consultant to the H.B.D.I.C (Company under the Ministry of National Economy) for the production of the film “Alexander The Great”.

In 2005 the GREEK FILM CENTER called him back as a member of the Committee Scripts Selection.

Theatre Performances: In 1991 he organised the opening ceremony for the MEDITERRANEAN GAMES at the OLYMPIC STADIUM directed by Spyros Evangelatos (Ministry of Culture and Sports), in 1995 the AIDA PERFORMANCE (USA), in 1997 the theatre play of N. PAPANDREOU - THE NIGHT OF THE ARCTIC LOONS (Lavern University) and in 2001 the perfomance of ZINGARO TRIPTYK (equestrian theater) of Martabas under the cover of ATHENS 2004.

He also organized, as stage Stage Manager, the Opening Ceremony of the 6th IAAF World CHAMPIONSIPS in Athens ‘97 (by Vangelis Papathanasiou) under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.

At the ATHENS OLYMPIC GAMES 2004 he covered with his Production Services the TV crews of CNN, PANAMSAT, APTN/SNTV, CHANNEL 7, CHANNEL 9, SINACOM/BEIJING TV, CBS, SKY, ITN, MEDIASET, CHANNEL 10, SPORTS CN/BEIJING TV, SHANGAI TV/BEIJING TV.

Over the years he has worked with the most talented technicians in the business and he has access to all facilities, transportation, locations, equipment and studios.

He heads his own company GEMINI FILM PRODUCTIONS.
